Great Horned OwlPlease consider donating to Roaring Fork Audubon Society:

Some of our present projects that would benefit from your support are:

  • To build and strategically place nesting boxes by the Spring Park Reservoir in the hopes of convincing some of the Barrow’s Goldeneyes that visit the reservoir on their migration to remain and establish a nesting population, thus adding health to our isolated western population of Barrow’s Goldeneyes.
  • To continue to help with funding the only environmental conservation lobbyists in the Colorado State Legislature.
  • To encourage Pitkin and Eagle counties to change their building codes to incorporate Bird-Safe Building Codes on all new public buildings.
  • To continue cooperating with the United States Forest Service with the development of their 50,000 acre habitat improvement project by providing critical breeding bird information for all planned areas.
  • To continue to offer field trips and educational programs.
  • To promote the sale of shade-grown coffee in the valley as a means of protecting bird habitat in the coffee growing countries where so many birds overwinter.
  • Please check our accomplishments to read about past projects and accomplishments.
